External Details

Swimming Pool – this very private pool is kidney shaped, 10m by 4m and just a few paces from the kitchen.  It has a beige liner, and underwater light.

The pigeonnier in the garden is next to the swimming pool and contains a covered outdoor dining room and a spacious seating area around an open stone fireplace. Drying by a roaring log fire after a nocturnal dip can be an exhilarating experience!

Two acres of well treed mature gardens, ideal for children's hide and seek. Red squirrels, hoope, deer and owls provide constant diversity. There are old farm buildings awaiting restoration.

A separate barn in the gardens provides a games room with pool table, table tennis, croquet, badminton and a 14ft, outdoor trampoline.

The Weather

On the same latitude as Nice, the temperatures are very pleasant, reasonable rainfall in the winter months keeps the countryside green. Early spring and late autumn can have very warm days punctuated by heavy showers.

Wonderfully hot sunny conditions are normal from May to October when we tend to live outside all day. For anyone used to the English climate the Gascony weather is fantastic!
